This policy explains what personal data we collect through runaquest.com, for what purpose, how long we keep it and what rights you have, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD).
2. What data do we collect and for what purpose?
Demo notification form
If you leave your email address in the “Notify me at launch” form, we store it for the sole purpose of sending you a notice when the Runaquest demo is available. We do not use it for any other purpose, we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes and we do not use it to send you advertising of any kind.
Community wall
The “wall of pacts” lets you write an example mission to share publicly on the Site. We do not ask you for any personal data to do so: only the text you write, the category you choose and the language you wrote it in are stored. If you decide to include personal information in the text of your mission itself, please note that it will be made public once reviewed.
Technical data
As on any website, our hosting provider automatically records certain technical information about connections (such as the IP address) for security and service-operation purposes. We do not cross-reference this data with your email address or any other personal data.
3. Do we use cookies?
The Site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of any kind. The only
information we store in your browser is strictly functional (using
localStorage, not cookies), to remember which wall mission you submitted and
avoid showing it to you twice. That information does not leave your own browser and is not
sent to any server.
4. Legal basis
The legal basis for processing your email address is your own consent, which you give voluntarily by filling in and submitting the notification form.
5. How long do we keep the data?
We keep your email address until the Runaquest demo is available and we have notified you, or until you ask for it to be deleted, whichever comes first. Missions published on the wall are kept while the Site is in operation, unless you ask for them to be removed.
6. Who do we share your data with?
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We use Supabase (Supabase Inc.) as data processor: it is the database provider that securely hosts the email address and the wall missions on our behalf, under a data processing agreement and solely to provide that technical service. You can read their own privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data (for example, your email or a mission you have published).
- Object to the processing or restrict it.
- Request portability of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at runaquestapp@gmail.com. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration, including the use of encrypted connections and the security measures of Supabase as data processor.
9. Runaquest app
This section applies to the Runaquest mobile app (Android and iPhone), in addition to what is explained above about the Site.
What data the app stores
- Your email address.
- The name of your bond.
- Your quests and your progress in the game.
- The technical security log of the sign-in service (Auth), needed to protect your account.
Notifications
The app asks for permission to show notifications, but it does not send any today. If we turn them on in the future, you will only receive them if you have given that permission (you can withdraw it in your phone’s settings), and we will update this policy first.
Where it is stored
On servers located in the European Union (Ireland), belonging to our database provider Supabase, already mentioned in section 6.
What for
Only so that the app works. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking, and we do not sell it or share it for commercial purposes.
How long
We keep it until your account is deleted.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account yourself from Settings inside the app: your account and the associated data are deleted. If you can’t get into the app, write to us at runaquestapp@gmail.com from the email address you signed up with and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to adapt it to legislative developments or changes to the Site itself. If we make substantial changes, we will indicate it by updating the date shown at the beginning of this document.
